The Challenge
City Padel planned to run tournaments at their Taunton site, so the surface had to hold competition standard from day one. Five courts, ten days, and no room for a slab that was out of true. Small variations in level change how the ball behaves, and once the turf is down, they are expensive to correct.
Sequenced Court-by-Court Build
Three installers worked the site court by court rather than spreading across all five at once. Each court took two days from base check to finished surface. One team stayed with one court from start to handover, so no seam was left half-finished behind them.
Full-Slab Level Survey
Before a single roll of turf went down, we surveyed the whole slab and mapped every section sitting outside a 5 mm tolerance. Those areas were brought to level before laying began, so the turf went onto a base that was already true rather than corrected after the fact.
Technical Solutions
One-Year Workmanship Guarantee
The installation carries our one-year workmanship guarantee. All five courts were handed over complete and ready for play in June 2026, ten days after the team arrived on site.
Level Held Within 5 mm
Final checks confirmed the finished surface stayed inside a 5 mm variance across all five courts. Ball response is consistent from the back glass to the net, with no soft or dead spots on the playing area.
